About Tutor

I was born in Los Angeles, California in the United States. I have traveled extensively and lived in Europe and Latin America. I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature. Once I graduated, I took a 20 year detour from education and worked as a creative in the toy industry at Mattel, Inc. Teaching remained a passion, so I went to graduate school, earning an MA in Media/Design. While still in graduate school I started teaching in the Toy Design department at Otis College of Art and Design. I noticed I had many international students in my classes and became interested in how I could best help them to make the most of their university experience and returned to graduate school for a Master of Arts in Teaching TESOL. Currently I am a doctoral student at USC specializing in international education and accessibility.
